CT Spring Wedding Suit Color

Hi - I will be a guest at an afternoon wedding (service starts mid-afternoon) in mid-May in southern Connecticut and am wondering if a light brown/tan suit would be too brightly colored to wear prior to Memorial Day. Thank you.

If it's a warm, sunny day, with a service held outside, it probably is okay. Otherwise, no, because it might upstage the groom.
