So did anybody ever get the cherry wholecuts? Does anyone have any pictures of the shoes other than the stock photo on the CT website? Any opinions on their fit, style, and quality? Thinking of getting a pair, just wanted to see if their are any opinions out there.

I only can pass on my imperfect memory from the CT sale thread that the Cherry wholecut was way worse in person than the website picture. I recall plastiky as an adjective.

I kind of recall that too, but I also recall their being some dissenting opinions from someone who purchased them and was happy with them.

I'm somewhat interested in them. I only wish they were in brown and not so red.

Dear Odoreater:

I tried them on in NYC and thought they looked terrible in person. I know others will tell you different, but i could never wear them. I bought the brown seude semi-brogue in 8H for my wide-ish 9 foot. Haven't worn them enough to advise you on exact fit.

Fit is not so much an issue because I have several pairs of CT shoes. The thing I'm concerned about is how they look. Thank you for your opinion, but I was wondering, what exactly in your opinion makes them look terrible?

Thanks odour, only thing is that they aren't quite as discounted.

Well, in any case, I pulled the trigger on the black CT wholecuts. I was unsure about the cherry, so I figured that I could use a black wholecut.

Thanks, Lucky Strike! And I won't use up the 50% off discount already.

I'm thinking about using it and pulling the trigger on a dinner suit from CT. Comments?

The red had a deceptive plastic look to them. I couldn't tell that they were corrected leather and was assured by the less-than-assuring staff that they weren't. However, they "looked" like they could be. None of the depth in luster that you would want from a shoe - not nearly as nice as my Testonis or Lidford. I'm blissfully happy with my semi-brogues so i'm not a CT hater.

I didn't check out the black, but as others said in the the other CT thread - that's probably the better bet of the two. Good luck with your shoes, please report back.

I have a pair of the black ones and they're awful. I got them for such a ridiculously cheap price that I couldn't be bothered returning them...

So now I use them for the really bad rain days here in NYC and I must say that, in a sadistic kind of way, I really enjoy seeing them suffer in these conditions
