Hello everyone,

This is my first post here and I'm not sure of the protocol.

I'm looking at a Crombie covert coat to replace my current winter coat. I have no experience with these coats and would like to know everything I can about the quality. Are they canvassed? How is the material? How well-constructed are they?

I also have some questions about sizing. I am a 36" chest and quite skinny, and want to know whether this coat http://www.crombie.co.uk/mens-coats/lovat-short-covert-coat-slim-fit.html would fit my frame and flatter my build. for reference, a slim fit small shirt from John Smedley fits just about bang-on. This question and the others are of tantamount importance and I cannot test them myself, as I live in a rather podunk part of Canada where I have no access to such product as this in person. I am also hoping to get a good deal and want to know your recommendations for where to purchase a nice coat.

Finally, if there are any brands you would recommend instead (especially if they are available in Canada) please let me know. It's important to note, however, that I am looking for something with a nice slim fit.

Thanks all

You might look into O'Connells in Buffalo NY which has a wide selection of outerwear.
I am not sure that covert cloth is very warm, since you are in Canada. You can call them.
They are very responsive. Note they also offer a covert coat.
