Yes... yet another thread on this issue. But hopefully I'm raising the question in a way that is different enough to add some value.

I wear 8.5D on AE PA which fits quite spaciously.

I'm hoping to get a pair in C&J 337 (I really like the aesthetics of the last and am thinking about getting up to three pair, Saville, Aintree, and either Belgrave or Welbeck. I've tried on the shoes, but cannot decide on the proper size. Length and width wise 7.5E should be the right size for me, but it fits pretty tight across the bridge due to my rather high-arched Japanese feet - toe area is more or less fine. 8.0E fits comfortably right out of the box, but I do get more extra length than is ideal. Do I go for the smaller size and count on the leather to stretch? Could this be categorized as a preference call or is there something I'm missing? Would appreciate any input. Thanks!
