For you C&J fans, here's something that might be of interest: C&J has made a so called Purple Collection. According to my cobbler it's made exclusively for the Swedish market. You can see it at the Swedish C&J website.

Quite expensive; 4900 kr (SEK) is about $640. The normal retail price for benchgrade (not Purple Collection) here is 4200 SEK = $550 which also is a lot.

Any Swedes who has bought Purple Collection shoes yet? Can anyone confirm whether it's actually exclusive for us in Sweden?

Hmm purple collection has a boot in 337, that's relevant to my interests.

Not a swede so haven't bought purple collection, but am a fan of C&J and I've never seen purple collection here in london before, so could well be that it is in fact exclusive.

Of course the trouble is that swedish prices are well.... swedish. Still not as bad as my native Norway, but quite a bit higher than the UK where I currently live. Two next pairs will probably be a fullbrogue and a wholecut from the handgrade collection, but still... nice to know boots on 337 are available. Have some friends in stockholm and I know exactly how 337 fits me, so maybe I will go for a pair if the mood strikes.

I'll probably be stopping by C&J one of these days to have some toe-taps put on a pair I have, I can ask them if they've heard of the purple collection.

I like the navy Drummonds. What chance of these shoes ever being sold outside Sweden?

I knew this would be of interest for you guys (although I did expect even more replies at this point).

Obviously no purple shoes, but at least purple laces. I'm considering lacing up my tobacco suede C&J Westfields with those purple laces.

Reviving this old thread as I have not only ordered, but also, as of yesterday, received my pair of Purple collection shoes. I ordered the Sandown boot and I must say, they are stunning! Perhaps my shoe collection is not as high end as a lot of folks here, but I do own some Barker Black, Grenson MP, benchgrade C&J, Martegani etc. and these are without a doubt the nices pair of them all. The leather is extremely soft and supple and they are as comfortable as a pair of shoes can be. I snapped some pictures and even though I think they came out kind of good, believe me when I say that they look even better in person. Anyway, I'll just let the images do the rest of the talking

(Each model in the Purple collection is limited to 25 pieces and the last picture shows this numbering. The last is 337.)

Press "1" if you think Spoo or Aportnoy should buy the whole collection.
