Not married to the sole, nor eyelets - I’m fully down with a collaborative process and group consensus lol

With the Lindrick and shell I would prefer double leather. But I would also accept Dainite if that is the majority vote.

I also favor double leather for the dressier Lindrick in shell. If we go with Dainite, I prefer Ridgeway over their Studded sole, but will go along with what the majority decides, as well…

Lindrick* in Navy Shell Cordovan

View attachment 1836256
(*photo depicts a Navy Shell Islay, but you get the idea; it was the closest mockup I could find in a somewhat considered interweb search. Credit: DXBMark)

I was about to drop some cash on the AE Shell Trunk Show today, but all this discussion about a weak pound and completing C&J shell (and a very, very sweet Baker’s Russian Grain Islay) GMTOs has me thinking about what unique shell makeups could take advantage of both opportunities at once, and it came to me: a Lindrick boot in Navy Shell Cordovan.

To my knowledge, such a boot has never before been produced. But we’re all familiar with the sleek, fully-brogued wingtip boot that we’ve seen done in Dark Brown and Whiskey shell before - but this would be in Navy Cordovan.

However, I’m not sure if this shell makeup only appeals to my beautiful mind, so I thought I’d see if anyone else was interested in a group order before I go the single MTO route. Please let me know if you’re interested, and we’ll work something out with Jermyn Street…

GMTO Interest Check - Navy Cordovan Lindrick

- Style: Lindrick
- Last: 325
- Width: E
- Material: Shell Cordovan
- Colour: Navy Blue
- Welt: Dark Brown Stormwelt
- Sole Unit: Double Leather
- Midsole: Dark Brown Leather
- Edge Colour: Dark Brown
- Eyelets: 8 matching eyelets
- Retail price: £975.00* (*estimate)
- Ex Vat price: £812.50* (*estimate)

So far, there are four people who have registered interest in forming a GMTO for this proposed make-up:

- @Coolhand0302
- @SteveL91
- @shoeinvestor
- @nareichert

If everyone stays on, that means only two more are needed to send this beautiful boot into production without MTO fees, which works out to a better price than a pair of stock shell Alden’s…

If anyone else is interested, please just let me know - thanks!

GMTO Galway II in Brown Shell

Ok, I've registered with Alex at C&J and heard back from her via email. She is waiting on all 6 participants to check in before she collects $$. Please contact Alex with your details so we can get this into production.
I received shipping notification from C&J and DHL on Monday.
I received an invoice for import duty today - $59 - first time ever.
Boots should be in hand tomorrow!

In on this. Mostly a lurker but I am more active on SDP discord and reddit. Would prefer Ridgeway and metal hooks but okay on this current makeup.

Came over from reddit after seeing the post about the navy Lindrick MTO.

Not sure exactly how MTOs work -- I'd need to think it over a bit before giving a firm commitment, but posting to express interest at least.

I received word from Alex, we need 10 participants and the cost would be £925 (£770.80 ex-Vat), equivalent to USD 919.30.
This is for the Islay in Baker's Russian Calf, same specifications as the last production.

Model: Islay
Last: 365
Leather: Baker's Russian Calf
Sole: Dainite or Ridgeway
Welt: Stormwelt
Eyelets: Antiqued speedhooks/eyeslets

Hello all. My first time here, so excuse the potentially dumb questions.

I got linked to this GMTO from a Facebook group, and they look awesome. So ...

1. How do I sign up for a pair of these?
2. I am in The Netherlands, I know C&J ship directly here, so assume this would not be a problem?
3. How do I pay, assuming it's OK to sign up for a pair?

Thanks
Simon

Re: C&J brown shell cordovan PTB on 325 last (identical to RL Marlow), the current signup sheet shows the price to be £670 (£558.33 ex VAT) at retail. I don't know if that is the current price but will try to find out sometime next week. The value of the pound has dropped significantly. And with the savings on VAT, the price should be the lowest it has been in years.
@joman8390 @nycs10011 @clee1982 @c0ugrhuntr @YouyouFr + ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED.

I have updated information on the C&J brown shell cordovan Grasmere PTB on 325 last (identical to RL Marlow).

1. We are entitled to the retail price for a GTMO of at least 6 participants.
2. The current retail price is £690 (or £575 ex VAT). (For perspective, the price of a single MTO is £975 (or £812.50 ex VAT).
3. The shoes will be delivered approximately 4 months after the complete order is placed.
4. Shipping to US is £20.

Other pertinent information:

- Six participants is a minimum but C&J is willing to accept any number of orders in excess of six.
- To commence the order, C&J needs the following information from all participants: (a) name and styleforum name, (b) UK shoe size (E fitting), (c) shipping and billing address, (d) telephone number, and (e) whether you want the shoes shipped to you or you will collect the shoes from the store
- For security reasons, C&J desires to take credit card details over the phone. The rest of the information will be delivered to C&J via e-mail. Payments will be processed immediately. If for any reason the GMTO does not go through C&J will refund all payments.
- IF a pair is damaged during production C&J will not remake the pair but will refund the money.

We currently have FIVE confirmed participants ready to provide payment information to C&J. We need just one more to place the order (but even after getting the sixth can include anyone else who desires to participate).
