It does appear that there was an open GMTO for Cigar Shell Lindrick that was not completed so I have renamed it for 2022. Will need to see if those that signed up are still interested, but there is currently only one open spot still for this to be completed.

PSA- So I learned a lot about sizing on the 325 last this last round. For anyone interested in a 7.5 Whiskey Shell Lindrick from the most recent GMTO I have a beautiful catch and release. The good folks at the C&J shop also have a 7.5 Whiskey Galway 2 available.

@chipshot GMTO for Cigar Shell Lindrick

The specifications are in the spreadsheet and reflect the choices of the majority.

I also entered my name on the list so we are now 11 participants. However, I think that this list is quite outdated and that some of those on the list will no longer participate in the GMTO. The price is outdated, too. The Whisky Lindrick from last year cost us 812,50 pounds without VAT. I assume that the brown Lindrick will not be much cheaper than that (the upcharge for Whisky Shell is about 50 pounds). Ah, and currently the vast majority is for 4 eyelets + 4 speedhooks and for Dainite.

I would not expect this GMTO to complete the 12 participants soon. But who will take the lead on this one? We would need to contact the members on the list to confirm if they are still in - at least as soon as another member joins the list.

Not really sure if this meets the ethos of the thread but... between this comment and the one about the brown shell lindrick gmto list it got me thinking.

I have an OG Ralph Lauren Lindrick in a 10D that I'd trade for a UK 9E Whiskey Lindrick. The color of my pair is closest to Alden's Ravello or Carmina's Light Cognac, ie. more of a mid brown with more caramel and less olive undertones than the dark cognac shell that C&J has been using for a while. The RL version also is all eyelets and on a double leather sole. I should add that I'd also entertain other trades, etc. Cheers, Gentlemen.

Yes, you do need them also in dark brown - you will not be able to live without those. Please sign in on the GMTO sheet linked above!

I’ve sent a message out to those that were on the sign up sheet, and have been getting responses. I will clean up the sheet soon so we have a more accurate record of current interest. I will also reach out to Basil and Chris for pricing updates.

I learned from Chris that for a fee, the Factory folks can re-last a shoe a half size without issue. Essentially for the cost of a sole change I can get the 7.5 changed to a 7 and have decided to go that route

I had that done on a pair of loafers and result was pretty damn good. It was 135 pounds if I recall

I was quoted $230 which includes DHL collection and return. Obviously it would have been better to get my sizing right, but happy to pay it if it allows me to enjoy the boots. A catch and release would likely incur some loss, and I think it will be a while before a whiskey Lindrick GMTO happens again.

Yeah, I didn't include the shipping in my price. I agree, not a bad solution and better than offloading
