Picture is showing a storm welt (which I prefer)…the makeup is currently a flat welt (which is more dressy, IMO).

Yes, more dressy was the idea to a certain extent, but more generally it’s a look I like but don’t have in the Coniston (C&J likes their storm welts). Also, and just as importantly, the double leather sole and storm welt combo doesn’t make practical sense to me. There is no use case, for me personally, where I would wear leather soled boots in inclement weather, and, conversely, no need for a storm welt in fair weather. So there’s both a form and function reasoning behind the choice.

Hello! I am new to posting here, although I have been reading the forums for a while. My collection of boots is very small, but looking to branch out! I am interested in the burgundy Harlech and the black shell Coniston gmto boots! One question, for gmto orders, will they make smaller sizes such as UK 6 or UK 6.5? Thank you!

Hello, welcome to the MTO maniacs!
C&J regularly offer men's shoes and boots starting from size UK 6 in steps of 0.5. So, yes, they will make those sizes.
If you do not mind, I can add you to the spread sheet for both models. Are you fine with the detailed specifications mentioned in the spread sheet for both models? If so, we would have enough participants for the burgundy Harlech to go into production. We are awaiting the price quote from C&J for that model very soon. Then, we could start sending C&J the customer details and proceed with the payment (payment will be 100% up front). Estimated time from order to delivery is about four months.

Hello and thank you! I am fine with the specs on the burgundy Harlech model, but I did not see the sheet for the black Coniston model. If you can add me for the burgundy model for UK 6.5 and flat welt, that would be greatly appreciated! As soon as I find the Coniston specs, I can provide details for that boot as well! Thank you for your help!

Perfect! I added you to the burgundy Harlech.

As the spread sheet contains quite a lot of old and new GMTOs, you will need to scroll to the right to see the Coniston black shell tab. Nevertheless, a copy of the specs looks like:

Sorry to need to drop out on the Burgundy Harlech - I am going to stick firm on what I want when spending this sort of cash. I’ve kept my name on the bottom of the Google sheet in case the specs change or this make-up gets raised again in the future.

Re green shell Harlech. I seen was a chap interested on Reddit so this is looking closer.

I think initial proposal was blind eyelets with antique brass speed hooks. I think would look amazing with matching antique brass eyelets on the green especially. The Ridgeway sole suits the last and boot perfectly so is a great spec hopefully gents.

Well done to whoever listed to Reddit including all the gmto so hopefully we get a few of these over the line.

Green Harlech fellas.. come on!

Hi all, I can't keep myself from thinking of the Green Harlechs to pair with my Whiskey ones so I've registered interest haha. If this does move forward, does anyone have any experience with green shell?

No idea how to dress with shoes of that color, I've only ever owned various shades of brown and black.

Welcome aboard sir. I find green far more versatile than people think. Especially with denim.

When will we start realizing that Ridgeway is just as evil as Dainite? Put it on a city sole or gumlite Vibram and I’m interested.
