I wasn't aware of only needing 6 for GMTO.. I thought the number is and always has been 12.. could someone clarify?

We should still assume 12. He has a deal with one of the stores to do a run of 6, but I think they are buying the other 6. The posts were all discussed in this past week.

To those who participate in the Westfield Whiskey Shell GMTO, please take a look at your inbox.

Concerning the 6 or 12 pairs, I have just received an e-mail from Steve Murdoch, C&J Head of Retail. Apparently we are lucky with the 6 pairs. Due to a miscommunication with the shop they allowed the shop to order 6 pairs. This is a quote:

"As you are aware we only make GMTO orders in batches of 12 pairs but I have myself added a little confusion to the situation, when I agreed (apparently!) to allow our store to take an order of only 6 pairs, when they asked me several weeks ago. I must have had on off day or been in a rush!!

I understand that the store have already started to take payments, so rather than try and rectify my mistake I will let this one go and keep everyone happy.

Going forward it’s important that everyone understands that we will only make GMTO orders in batches of 12 pairs if customers want a retail price and not pay a premium, like we have always done in the past.

Sorry to bother you with another unnecessary email but I felt it was important to clarify everything."

Gentlemen, I'm very sorry, I throw in the towel and order the Zug Snowdon via MTO.

This allows me, by the way, to choose different characteristics than the GMTO :
.Plain toe
.Full leather lining and full leather insole
.Ridgeway outsole

My friends stay in the race, however.
If C&J miss this pair, I will back on board lol.

Yes, it is still waiting to reach the 12 participants. With Rodolphe dropping out, we would be 11 if you join the team. However, finding the 12th participant may be more difficult than it sounds as people leave if it takes too long.
