Just a question about the Snowdon boots :
Why not full leather lined like the Coniston for example ? It would be more rigid so the ankle support would be better. I presume the longevity would be better too.
It should need a little breaking in period, but nothing extrodinary...

Whiskey Galway II status.

Hey guys, as you might know, the UK Supreme Court has intervened, and added much needed extra drama to the UK politics by declaring as unlawful the prorogation of parliament. I don't know if this is having any impact on the shoe making process at C&J but @flylikeneagle is still waiting for Pernilla and the final pricing on this makeup.

In the meantime, we are trying to be as proactive as we can so, please reach out to me and send me your name, email and preferred UK size if you are in the list below:

thanks,

Currently wearing rtw Snowdons. Don't think I want more ankle support.

Well, I’ve been procrastinating posting for the first time on this forum for long enough. So, here it goes: Very pleased with these limited edition Grasmere, retailed by Tassels Hong Kong. Tassels informed me that they received only 12 from C&J. They feel amazing, too. The 325 last is just a great all-around last.

Specs:
- Whiskey shell;
- 325 last:
- City sole;
- Half unlined.

P.S.: Forgive the picture quality. I’m just getting accustomed to photographing shoes. I’ve been doing it with watches for years, but I’m slowly developing these skills.

Apologies for not getting back to this thread sooner regarding the Whiskey Galway II. It appears you have the 12 needed without me which is fine as I have to step out of this GMTO. Has been quite some time since I put my name on the sheet and my circumstances have changed.

Personaly, I would think the opposite. But maybe you're right. More can be too much.
For the first Zug GMTO, Crat specified that the leg was lined contrary to the oak wax hide version. I thought that we took the same specs for the 2d GMTO.

I realize it might be too late, but I added my name to the Galway GMTO.

I've been enjoying my Lindricks now that the weather is getting cooler and I think I will regret it later if I don't get a pair of Galways.

Foster and Sons will be showing up with a Zug Boot this season and so will EG ... I still want CJ but ....

I wonder if we should speak with CJ to revisit the number it takes to GMTO... should be revised to 6 or more like many other makers !!!

Really, what last will F&S be using? The 228 doesn’t work well for me, and in Zug it’s impossible to make it bend to my will...lol.

Alright, you are the first on the waitlist. I went ahead and adjusted the info on the Galway II GMTO.
