Hello Gentlemen
@Caligula77, @TommyB, @up1911fan, @stefan A, @Zapasman, @Armando Lio

you have expressed interests in C&J Linkrick in Whiskey Shell Cordovan. Since there are only six of you, I was wondering if I could interest you in C&J Galway in Whiskey Shell Cordovan? This model

The Galway is a really nice boot but I’m afraid Lindrick is the one for me at the moment. It is taking an awful long time to get enough people interested, though.

Yes, I'm interested. I was a backup on the initial order, so if there is another in the works I am game.

I am VERY interested in the navy shell coniston MTO in leather sole, which would be my first. Is that active, and if so, what are my next steps?

We just need one more for the Marlow PTB in brown shell!! Could one of my grail shoes really be in my hands by the end of next the year??

To make sure I'm sizing properly: I am going a full size down from a US 9.5D. I'm an 8.5E on the Carmina Rain, 9.5 on Alden Plaza, 9.5D on AE 65 last, 9.5E on AE 222 last. I have a Marlow wingtip in 9.5D US and it fits a little big, needing a tongue pad. I think a 9.25 would have been ideal, worried a 9 would be too snug.

Not sure if this helps but I was told by Pernilla that you go a 1/2 size down to convert to UK, so your Marlow in 9.5D is equivalent to a 9E UK. If you went to an 8.5 UK it would fit smaller than your Marlows

I went down .5 for UK conversion as suggested by Lauren and my boots are half size too big. In my experience .5 down for UK only works on narrow lasts.

Interesting. Does anyone have a pair of Marlows/Lindricks and a pair of UK-sized C&Js that are 1 size less and can confirm they are the exact same length/width/fit? I'm not sure why Pernilla's advice seems to contradict the sizing advice given by so many SF members

Pretty much all the UK shoe companies say 1/2 size UK to US. But that's how you end up with UK shoes which are too big.
I have 10.5US Marlows and 9.5UK Marlow/Pembrokes. Both cordovan. If anything, the 9.5UK ones feel slightly larger but probably within manufacturing variation. I have 2 pairs of Islays in same size that fit slightly different.

.

From Alden Plaza it should be 1 size down. therefore it should be 8.5 in CJ.
