Wow! Was the Whiskey Cordovan always this shade of brown, or did you do something to it? I have seen a few shoes in Whiskey and felt that it look dull and could not understand why it is popular over here. It does not have the rich colour like the #8 or the dark brown, or basically any other shell colour. Actually, if you looked at the Whiskey Lindrick 2 Dainite (Nov 2017) image in the spreadsheet, it does not look anything like these. Is it because these are antique while the one in the image is not? Maybe it is time to change the image?

Just from the Alden website of Whiskey Cordovan, all of them seems to be a different shade. Some look good while some look like white chocolate. Was actually certain I do not like it after looking at the Whiskey Lindrick in the spreadsheet. But after looking at the image on top I am thinking twice. Not sure if I would get one considering there is half a chance that I do not like it. But I think it looks better on shoes with brogue design.
BTW anyone have pictures of the navy shell boots in the wild? I always wanted one but feel there is not much i could wear it with
View attachment 924981 View attachment 924983 I had to chuckle myself.. it’s obvious you C&J Marlow experts never actually owned RL Marlow Full Strap Penny last 314 Double Leather Antique loafer. Lovely loafer with some heft for those long airport walks.. Chuckle all you like..
Lindrick.. today Double Leather Antique Sole..
You should look to the standard C&J unlined Whiskey 314 last non Full Strap loafer. I think that would suit you better 12.
