Thinking of jumping in on the Galway GTMO. Can anyone give me a sense of the instep volume on the Galway. I have a number of Aldens on the Barrie and Plaza that work well but need tongue pads. Does the Galway have more volume in the instep and shaft? I've been reluctant to take the C&J plunge because I have no local spots to try them on and from the images I've seen they appear to have a higher volume than my Aldens. Thanks for the help!
If you are located in the US, order from the NYC store and try them on. You'll be out shipping but you can return them. I did this to confirm my 325 size a several months ago. If it helps, I wear 8.5E Alden Barrie & Trubalance and for C&J 325 I wear 8UK.

I go down 1 full size in C&J US to UK. 9.5D US and 8.5E UK. Galaway boot looks to be a great GTMO without rubber soles. Need to add my name once I figure the Sheet out.

Galway GMTO-DL

Gents, we're on the one yard line. We need two more volunteers to get this GMTO in the end zone.

Barrie 9D, Van 9D, Aberdeen boot 9.5D, Loafer C. Trubalance TTS. C&J 8.5E.

Thank you, very helpful. Pretty similar in Van and Barrie, so think I'll go down half a size in the 325.

Last time C&J included tongue pads with my order. I have the same problem for C&J and their UKE fitting. But they fit great with tongue pads.
