Of course, many people have signed up for both so as to lock in a position irrespective which option gets to 12 first.

This is a C&J MTO for a makeup virtually identical to the RL Marlow PTB. The specs are: Specs:
    • Grasmere (325 last)
    • Dark brown (C&J color "dark cognac") shell cordovan
    • Double leather soles
    • Exposed eyelets
    • Storm welt
    • Antique welt/edge
Price: £620 (less VAT is £516.67). Shipping to US is £30.00. Click on BROWN SHELL MARLOW PTB above to go to the signup spreadsheet. Feel free to contact me with any questions! [IMG]

    In Alden Barrie last I wear 11.5D. In C&J 325 last I wear UK11E. So, I think you should order C&J (325) UK7.5E.

For 325 last i would recommend 1/2 size down in UK from the Barrie last.

I thought every shoe in a GMTO had to be exactly the same except for length.[/QUOTE]

Hey Church- the entire order will require JR soles

upon rereading this post there seems to be an issue with quotes. I thought you asked the question instead of providing an answer. In any event, you are correct, the entire order will need to same sole option.

I'm in for the Marlow PTB. Not picky about the sole but prefer Danite. In the end, it will need a resole (eventually) and can always change It to whatever I want in a few years.

I'm confirmed for both and ok with whichever closes first.

I could use a bit of help trying to pin down my Marlow size. I am 10.5D in AE, 10.D in Alden Grant and 10D in Alden Barrie and Trubalance. I am looking at picking up a 10D Marlow shell wingtip on the secondary market and want to be sure that I am getting this size/last combo correct before placing the order and the finalization of the Marlow PTB order. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

@cincytri its a close call. Is your grant last a 10.5 or 10 (confused by the period in the initial post). If you actually wear a 10 in grant I would say go for it. I find grant and 325 pretty similar. And it also leads me to believe you have a narrower foot (as Lon as you're not a 10.5 in AE 5 last which wouldn't make any sense to me).

I have Alden 10.5D Grant last boots that are a touch roomy. I suspect that I could have sized down to 10D if I wanted to wear thinner socks. I am a 10.5D in the AE 65 last and I am confident in that sizing. The AE 201 last is absolutely perfect for me in 10.5D. My foot is probably "normal" and definitely not a wide. Thoughts?

Others can please correct me if I'm wrong but I believe 65 is longer than 325. If this is the case, I think a 10 In the original Marlow will be too short.

I have no experience with 201 but hopefully others can chime in.

If it is a 10 US Marlow that supposedly has a narrower width (UK D) then it might work for you but if it is UK E it might be too roomy. I wear the 65 in 9E and take the pembroke on the 325 in 8UKE

I wear 8.5D in Grant and it is perfect. 8EUK is a bit roomy for me (especialy long). I have 7.5 and 8UK on this last and I can't make a final choice.
If 10.5D Grant is Roomy I would downzise one ful size.
    My2cents.
