I'd really like a brown or navy shell cordovan Gianni on dainite. I won't be able to do it for a couple of months though, until my funds replenish.

Cheviot in Whiskey would be my vote based on the new Whiskey Harlech I just received. Dark Brown is a nice option as well, maybe not as unique but very practical .. Monster LongWings .. I like it ..

C&J made it sound like whiskey would not be available for in the near future group MTOs.

My new favorite boot for sure. Thanks again everyone for being a part of it and extra thanks to you Hoit for getting it going.
Beautiful boots gentlemen , congratulations and wear them well! I do love the Harlech boots but would prefer a rubber sole.

More info from Lauren...

1: Gianni is on the 325 last.
2: There is currently not enough whiskey for a Gianni (or anything) group MTO (individual can be had but is mucho $'s - £825).
3: A group MTO for the Cheviot in dark brown cordovan is possible and would cost £525 (£437 exc. VAT).

Definitely food for thought.

My boots showed up today.

Very pleased. Will post pics later.

Was sizing just as everyone expected on these?

Sizing is the same as my other C&J shoes/boots.

I know that the Islay exists, but I would like the Skye boot in brown scotch grain, also. I like the shorter style boot and I believe the sleeker last.

I would be more interested in the Skye in brown scotch grain on Dainite over the Harlech at the moment.

I've contacted Lauren to find out the cost of a Harlech with scotch grain (as detailed above). I also requested info on how much whiskey they have at the moment and if a Cheviot MTO could be arranged with both whiskey and dark brown.

Thanks, Hoit. Any chance you could ask about a scotch grain Skye as well?

Hoit,

Does it have to be dark brown scotch leather? I know C&J has some wonderful grain leathers. I would be more incline to go for something in red brown spectrum. Can we trouble you to got to C&J store and take picture of grain swatch samples?
Also since this will be a rugged boot with the ridgeway sole, may I recommend that we consider heavy duty Zug grain leather? The last time I was in NY I browsed through C&J swatch book and noticed they indeed have Zug leather?

A different color grain would be quite nice, on either the harlech or the skye or even the islay. Can't remember all the grains they have since they have like 250+ swatches to choose from but I know there are some unique and interesting ones.

What about a harlech/skye is a bordeaux/rioja color calf?

I think i'd be more inclined to just get an Islay in that case its already in dark brown scotch grain with storm welt and dainite sole.
