    I'll be the 12th. I understand majority want double sole, so as not to throw off the balance. But can we consider getting it with a flat welt? This way we can get the wheeling. That's a great looking, very versatile make up: double leather, flat welt, wheeling. And this way it will be a truly original shoe.

    I actually like that idea. They will do the wheeling on a double leather sole but with flat welting?

    Based on what @mdubya said above, yes.

    You need to pay the whole amount up front.

    You pay the full amount upfront to Lauren from C&J - I do not handle any money.

    Sounds like a flat welt version be essentially the same shoe as the Peal & Co. shortwings from Brooks Brothers (at a much better price).

    Peal & co version is actually a slightly different design. Longer wing, different medallion. 325 last "Marlow" version is slightly more compact, and im my opinion, a better proportioned shoe.

    But its up to everyone in this GMTO to vote on storm welt and no wheeling vs wheeling and no storm welt.

    Just to add to this. Here is another example of the double leather sole with a flat welt.

    This is the C&J for Peal & Co sold at Brook Brothers. It is a similar shoe, but as someone has already pointed out a different (longer and narrower) last with difference proportions.

    I would prefer this route with the flat welt and wheeling on the Barlow, but it's not a deal breaker.

    Current list for the Brown Shell "Marlow" is below:

    @YouyouFr
    @Dd1101
    @BackInTheJox
    @dbacr
    @Skelnik
    @Mr Clemson
    @tkliebert
    @billsayers
    @Booter
    @wqvong
    @LoveShoes
    @markamon

    Please let me know if you would like to join and are not on the list, or would like to withdraw. It is at 13 including myself meaning we have enough to go ahead, but I would prefer to get a few more as I'm assuming a few will fall through.

    Everyone in the above list, please chime in whether you would like

    Option 1. Double Leather sole, Storm welt, NO wheeling
    Option 2 - Double Leather sole, no storm welt, WITH wheeling

    Waiting to hear back from lauren about wheeling sans storm welt but I'm assuming its possible.

    A couple images of storm welt no wheeling vs flat welt with wheeling.

    My personal vote is for flat welt no wheeling as it will be unique and a bit more sleep. The RL model is almost a bit too chunky.

    Double sole, Sans Storm:

    I vote option 1 but we should continue to press for what we want (ie wheeled storm welt).

    Guys,

    Is anyone here managing an MTO for a Lingfield in suede (similar to the one in the picture -shown in polo suede) OR would be interested in participating in an MTO for this/something similar?

    Can you put in the 13th spot? I have warlow coming and I want to get the correct sizing first.
