1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I proposed this around the same time the Harlech MTO got started but I didn't get too strong a response so I went to another maker for the boot. Here is the final product next to Alden's whiskey. I figure to show this for possible visual inspiration. :) I don't think I've posted it on this thread but if I did, I apologize for the redundancy: Natural light: [IMG] No flash: [IMG] Flash: [IMG]

Close, it is whiskey shell though
Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Vass it is and W&T, I think we all can say we're on too many shoe threads.

C&J definitely makes a more "refined" looking shoe with cleaner lines and sharper angles but Vass does provide more custom work and sturdier construction.

I still believe a Skye 2 in whiskey would look awesome!

I've handled some walnut shell, the ones I came across were quite pale. In some pictures it was more red and deeper in color.

Cordovan coloring is a crapshoot when it comes to the brown shades.

Just wait for the delivery of the C&J boots and we'll be on to a new topic. :)
