Fantastic! TommyB are we good to go?
In my experience C&J takes a few days to actually charge cards, once this is all done is a go. I'm sure we'll see people posting here once the charges start showing up.
This was a surprise to me - assuming shell is shell - but indeed; today when I discussed the current Lindrick GMTO with Lauren, she confirmed that whiskey shell is usually 50 pound more expensive than other shades of shell. Apparently because it's harder to source.
Yeah lighter shells have to be blemish free, whereas with a darker color you can hide some of the imperfections.
Seems like 12 people now have contacted Lauren. Some hours ago she still needed card info from two of them, but she said she has worked with both before and I quote her: "they are massive fans of the Whisky Cordovan so I think that this should be the places filled".
So I'm pretty optimistic.
I shouldnt be doing this.. but are these 11UK or US?
UK which is actually equal to a US 12-12.5....
Yes Sir...you should definitely do this.
They are gone to a new home
Bummer to hear about the fit issue but glad they found a new home!
It was painful, still is, and will be until the next round... Just a great shade of shell
What was the last of those Whiskey Skyes and what is the last of the Harlech order that went through a year or so ago?
I went 12 UK on the Harlechs and my TTS is 12.5. Did I mess up and I just haven't noticed?!
my wallet thanks that
12UK might be on the bigger side for you, but it could work.
I'm usually a US size 9.5D and UK 8.5/EUR 42.5.
When it comes to Alden, I'm a (US) size 9D on the Barrie last. My Barrie-lasted shell Chukkas fit really well in 9D, while my shell LWBs are a little bit on the big side, though I'm almost certain 8.5D would be too small. My unlined suede Chukkas on the Leydon last are US 9.5D, they fit perfectly, I could probably also wear 9.5E in these.
When I got sized in for the 341 last, I tried both UK size 8.5E and 9E (E being the "normal" width). Size 9E was too big. Size 8.5E was a little snug around the toes, but nothing bad, so that's the 341 size I'm going with. I tried the 341 last with medium thick socks (brand: Happy Socks), not thin dress ones. The 8.5E should be fine with Chups socks, too, which I plan to wear every now and then, when it gets colder.
So, I size down a full size from my normal US 9.5D to UK8.5E. If shoes in your US Brannock size fit tight, or if your feet are on the wider side, then I might consider sizing down just 0.5. Otherwise, I'd size down one full size. But maybe talk to Lauren at C&J, she can probably help you even better.
Can we narrow-footed guys get in on the group buys? I'm US 11.5C on Peal C&J 240 and 341, for example, and UK 11D on EG82.
Harlech 341 may work, maybe.. All boot gmto are E
