    Saphir shoe creams are very pigmented so they are perfect for a quick and persistent recolouring process (infact I avoid them for regular care using them only in case of scuffs etc)
    Choose only one tone darker than actual colour (one colour or a mix of colours) and next finish the result with darker (dark brown/black) wax polishes (toe/heel/broguing areas)

    I suggest you to avoid Light Cognac/Cognac, they are VERY orangish IME

    Sorry to say this but we just may be dead in the water on the Snowdon.

    I have both the Coniston and Pembroke. Even though they are from the same leather, the Pembroke has darkened somewhat over time, whilst the Coniston is more constant in color. They have been polished (not over polished) with medium brown Saphir cream and polish when needed. Now the Pembroke have seen more wear, and I suspect this has some influence.
    Ymmv, but I feel that a dark pepple MTO Pembroke would be excessive.

    @alexSF

    Hmmm, that is rather convincing. What sort of dye do you think they use to color the Islays the final brown color?

    Why is that? Because we haven't filled the list yet? If that is the case, perhaps we can refer other people who may not frequent this site such as AAAC or Redditt.

    I don't mean to throw in the hat so soon. I just mean that we have 4-5 members now. A few people who had earlier expressed interest are not interested. Meanwhile the Harlech GMTO is stealing our thunder. I'm not in a hurry on this order, since it will take about 4 months for C&J to complete the boots, but I think the longer we wait, the less likely we are to keep people on.

    I will agree about the Harlech, but that has proven itself to being a popular MTO in the past. And it doesn't hurt that it's a great looking boot! The Snowdon seems to be niche interest for most. Perhaps once there are fewer runs being put together on this thread, we will become successful at filling our list.

    Thanks guys. Do not worry. They got creased. I almost totally ate it on my first three steps outdoors which happened to be on the front stairs to my office building. The soles were freakishly slick.
