C&J Handgrade models also are underrated.

Which brings up an interesting question. Is CJ handgrade comparable to EG in terms of leather, finishing and construction?

Anyone else get their boots and can offer up more pictures? I still haven't gotten my shipping notice yet. Wonder if my Lowdnes are holding them up. They were supposed to be done a month quicker being a single pair. Maybe they lost them???

Not quite. But they also have a lower price tag. Many HG models are $700-ish whereas many EG models are $1,100-ish.

Quick shot I took. The pic is a pretty accurate representation of the color. Pretty similar to Ravello, IMO. Very happy with it.

Gorgeous! Yeah CJ whiskey is a little darker than what we are used to

Finally got home to open mine. Can't take any pics right now, but I would definitely say they are more on the ravello-ish side, even more so than round one. Perhaps in daylight tomorrow my opinion will change, but looking at them tonight they seem very close to a light ravello. Might have to snap a pic next to my ravello cordovan Alden wingtip boots for comparison (although my Alden Ravello is really dark).

Arrived. Tempted to take my name off the ravello pre order list now.

Edit: made the thumbnail larger. Hope no one minds :hide:

Holy crap, they are gorgeous. I would have no need for a Ravello day tripper with those. Awesome! I think the C&J is a superior boot.
