1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

    SOLD

Hey. Checking to see if there is any interest for these UK 10E double monks by Crockett & Jones. I purchased these directly from C&J this summer, and I have worn them once briefly. These shoes are in perfect condition. They have been conditioned and polished regularly, and have been stored with C&J shoe trees in the shoe box since day one. As you can see from the photos, the sole has also been conditioned - they have not been worn in wet or damp weather.

The reason I am thinking of letting these go is I simply can't find any occasion to wear these shoes. I rarely wear a suit, and my office is very casual. As much as I love the design of double monks, especially the Lowndes (it was my chosen dm), I can't justify having them in my closet gathering dust.

These shoes retail for £340 on Pediwear. The shoes comes with original dust bags and shoe box. Shoe trees are not included. The shoes are located in Norway.

What can possibly be the point of conditioning the sole of a shoe?

Conditioned soles are considerably less prone to cracking, especially if they are worn in a wet climate. It is also said that conditioned soles are more resistant to wear than dried out soles.

It's a very beautiful pair of shoes which I always want to have in my closet. Regrettably, my size is UK 7.5E.
By the way, could you please tell me how do you condition the soles?
