I'm going for just a quick trip. I'd thought I might have time to get to Northampton, but I won't. Does anybody know if there's a good shop in the town of Cambridge itself where I can get me some C&J's? I emailed C&J but didn't hear back yet.

Also, since we're on the subject, is there a C&J last that would be similar to the 330 in the toe but with a slightly narrower heel?

I don't think so. I believe Jones Bootmakers used to carry them, but may have stopped. Cambridge is not great for clothes, shoes especially. Ede & Ravenscroft in London carries decent shoes in their London branch, but I don't remember seeing them in Cambridge.

They have stopped. Jones rarely has much nice these days.

The Oxford branch carries Cheaney-made shoes. Classic, seemingly well-made ones, I'd say (though the leathers and styles aren't hugely inspiring). I don't think Ede carries C&J these days, or more accurately, I haven't seen any. Don't know about the Cambridge branch.
