Crockett & Jones from Barneys -- size inside shoe is US or UK?

Hello gents,

Quick question. I ordered two pairs of Crockett & Jones from Barneys.com -- the Islay and the Coniston -- both ordered as a size '10 US / 43 EU / 9 UK' on the Barneys site.

However both boots are printed on the inside as a 10D. Am just surprised because I would assume they would be stamped 9F or something? Only asking because they DO seem a fair bit longer than the 10US boots I have from Allen Edmonds (otherwise it'd make sense that C&J would stamp the shoes differently depending on who orders them -- so maybe all the Barneys stock gets stamped with US sizing?)
I just want to make sure they're actually US size 10 rather than 11...

Pretty roomy but not crazy roomy. Slight heel slip (maybe 1/2"?)

From what I know, a little heel slip is normal (even desired?) for new boots, and also, these boots (on the 325 and 365 lasts I think?) do normally fit pretty roomy to make room for thick socks.

The shoe bags do say "Crockett and Jones for Barneys" as well, I guess if C&J makes the custom shoe bag label for a US store they would probably also label the Barneys shoes with US sizes?

Barney's C&J are labeled with US sizes.
Or at least all the pairs I have are (6 or 7).
I have one pair where it appears they used some white out type material to paint over the UK size so they could write the us size.
