I received my Marlows today, wow, beautiful shoes. I ordered the same size I wear in Alden Barrie and they fit fine, albeit a bit tighter, but certainly wearable. I'm assuming they will break in nicely.

I also seem to get more heel lift than with Aldens but as the sole breaks in, that will probably be alleviated as well.

got a chance to finally try on some tassels and pennys in 8 and they are def too small

safe bet to go with your alden barrie/trubalance size ... just have to break in the sole to alleviate my slight heel slip

thank god im finally all sorted out on c&j sizing lol

I still dont get why you brought investment bankers into this? You made all these claims about investment.bankers which are not necessarily true nor relevant.

Anyways I'm waiting receipt of a pair of wt marlow. I too, appreciate a good sale.

I didn't bring investment bankers into it until an investment banker took a swing at me, then it was on.

Its not about you or me Ari, its about the shoes, and at least your Marlows are proof that you have good taste. They are a great product. I will be posting pics of the Marlows and the Macon boots, I hope you will be doing the same.

Let's drop the Investment Banker angle, it does not belong here anyway.

    is that you mediahound?

would have been a better comparison video with a cigar long/short wing

its also way too long and repeats a lot of the same info over and over again. just curious but why do people make these videos and whos watching them? (besides sf nerds)

I agree, but I don't own any cigar shell.

I make vids on anything I'm in the mood to make them on, things I buy and want to review. Just sort of a hobby.

I've made other shoe vids before and found that people like them longer so they can see the shoes without having pause.

Tried to order three Marlows through the local RL store last Wednesday. After the store manager took a look at the sale prices online he agreed to order the shoes on Thursday. Store manager calls RL corporate to place the order and RL corporate supposedly shoots him down, saying the shoes were never on sale and the sale price can't be verified. I called RL corporate and they agreed to honor the price if I could provide an order number for the shoes at the sale price. So, anyone want to offer up their order number that I can pass along to RL as proof the sale existed? Heh. I'm expecting crickets on this one.

As a back up plan that may or may not work, anyone have a cached web page that shows the 30% off for the Marlows?

Posting this in the other thread, too.

I don't really want to give my order number because I'm afraid they may try to charge me retroactively or something but does this help? It clearly shows the price paid and the date of the order.

Do note this did require a special invite coupon code.

They can't retroactively charge you... that's really unlikely, at least.

They already look well worn (!) and will need a good brushing when I get home.
