I handled these over the weekend and while the quality seems decent, I would stick with an English made boot. Im biased though

Great pic. That's the way those bad boys should look.

Thanks. It's a return. Still, biggest concern is the heel/sole.

+1. To me the sole makes these look like a more casual, lower end shoe. You'll be able to find better.

I have been wearing my Lindricks for a couple of months now and really like them. I wonder if anyone else is having the same problem I have with the shoe laces. I thought the laces were too long out of the box. Now they have stretched 2 inches and are really too long. I don't recall ever having shoe laces so this before. Any suggestions for a source to find replacements? Thanks for your help.

3 1/2 year old Darlton next to a brand new Marlow. Flash kind of lightens everything but you get the idea.

Same here, except I attribute it more to the shell stretching - the closure of the apron over the vamp has narrowed considerably since I got them, meaning I need less lace length to close it. I'm not sure if that's enough to explain 2", but it's substantial.

Regardless, waaayyy back when I started my boot collection, I found a site that had lots of longer laces and I stocked up on various sizes and haven't needed more since. Unfortunately, I don't recall them and can't find any order info. Others will have to chime in.

Nice. Something to look forward to as my Marlows are quite dark at the moment...

Yeah, if you can lace your boots say 1/8 of an inch tighter, that's going to be about 2 inches right there on an 8 eyelet boot.

Anyone else wish the laces on their Marlow to be an inch or inch and a half longer?

Edit: Just measured the laces. The stock laces are 27", which is on the short side of a 5-eyelet pair of shoes. Will replace them with a pair fo 30". Pain in the neck.

Bet you didn't realize how much the Darlton had lightened till you put it next to the Marlow. How does the color of the Darlton compare to your Ravello longwings?

Btw, anyone have a new Lindrick 9D for sale?

Yep. You'd think they'd spend an extra $ on laces so my $800 shoes didn't come untied every 2 hours.
