in case people didnt know mr porter has some RL tassels
are those cordovan? they looks pretty slick
I haven't seen that version - with the kiltie as well. Any idea how they fit / whether they are cordovan? They appear to be shell based on the pictures...
they look like the cavendish, which is on the 325 last. I would recommend sizing down a 1.5 sizes. I am a TTS 12D, and would need a 11.5D if marked for the states. Thus, I need a UK10.5
how much were these? If anyone finds these on sale, buy size 11.5 and i pay you moneys
just don't like that double wide strap
i love it. a lot
Pic was taken at NM in Honolulu in September.
They were in the $850 range.
They really look much worse in person. Frankenstein's monster would approve.
Say it ain't so Z. I regret not checking them out when I was there
Left shoe is always dry whereas te right is constantly supple and shiny
You would think that C&J could at least try to match up the vamp pieces. I would've preferred both sides to either be dull or shiny.
They also have the mis-aligned eyelets that Alden took a bunch of shit for on the forum a while back.
Namor, get some venetian cream and use it on the shells. The roughness will go away with wear and brushing.
Unless venetian cream is that much better than Reno, I doubt it will work. Brought up the issue with Ron Rider and Nick Horween, and was told this is how some shells come out. Not much can be done to change it. What I find strange is that it seems more common with these RL by C&J than it is with Alden. Of course the sample size is quite small.
Alden's liquid dye that they use on top of the shells probably hides it.
