applied a little saphir reno to a ptb. pic shows difference after a brush
The private sale (40% + 15% off) should be coming up soon, right? I think its usually May and November. I picked up the tassels and pennies in May and am looking to pick up the wing tips this time plus one of their navy blazers.
like those boots. would prefer it sans medallion though!
Namor, what trousers are you wearing in those photos?
Still waiting for my Lindricks.
RRL selvedge chino. Hang in there man, its worth every minute that you wait. Just a gorgeous boot.
Now,this got me thinking even though I am not a boot guy.
I'm def a boot guy so this was an easy decision for me. It looks better in person. It was the first time ever that I was sad to wear a boot. Wanted it to stay pretty forever
I picked up a pair of calfskin Marlow/Darlton tassel loafers and was wondering if there's a C&J lasted shoe tree for it.
Those are the most beautiful boots I have seen. I picked up a pair myself and they are phenomenal. I wish they were available in black or any other color. They are amazing!
yes reno is amazing stuff--use it every month or two on my 3 darltons and it makes them look awesome.
those lindricks look stunning
^ thanks, unfortunately, the pair was not up to snuff. I purchased a second pair and will return the previous one:
You can see the discoloration on the bottom pair. The difference is more pronounced in lighter environments. The top pair is perfect
^ I thought that was one of the desirable traits of shell? Wasn't there a discussion about that recently? (somewhere?)
I called up and asked; it is going to be November 3 through to November 7.
Question: How does one get in on those? Apparently just signing in to their website does not work. Answers/ help would be much appreciated.
Two options (if you search, there's plenty of info on this):
call CS and politely ask for a code
visit, or call, a retail store during the sale, where typically I understand SAs will give you the discount (though there appears to be regular confusion around the inclusion or exclusion of the cordovan shoes; see below)
I haven't done either, but was in the Chicago store last weekend, and asked about the sale, as I'm interested in getting the PTBs. The SA said he'd call me when he knew the details of the sale (whether or not cordovans are included). I think he expected to know later this coming week.
