Thanks for that. I should have mentioned I have a very narrow heel and slightly narrow feet. Based on this, I'm assuming the wingtips might be a bit wide for me.

    I would suggest a 9.5

Think they'll fit better than the loafers for a narrow foot?

RL cordovan is interesting. I bought 2 pairs of the Marlow PT bluchers over the last couple years (one this sale, one about 1 year ago) and they are totally different shades (one looks like #8, the other looks like whiskey). I'll take pics when I get a chance but they almost look like 2 different shoes.

Having caved on the Lindricks not, what, 2 weeks ago? It's pics like this that made me cough up for an ebay flipper for a pair of Marlows (still at a good price, albeit not quite at the 40+15 discount).

Geez, I'm way off the deep end... but I'll be well shod as a result!

If you are any narrower than a B, I would say no. I am a 10.5C/11B and I can make the 10D's work--but there is some roominess in the wings that I have to deal with.

That is an awesome picture--the sunlight on the heel makes it almost look liquid.

Here are the 2 pairs of PTB's I was referring to. The darker pair was worn once, the lighter pair has yet been worn... 2 very different shades for the exact same shoe model!

Im fairly certain the tassel is made on the 72 last. C&J makes the Langham tassel on that last

It sure looks like it and the fit is unlike both the pennies/wings. The heel was too wide for me--feels just as wide as the lace-ups, which work because of the lacing. The lower vamp on the tassels led to too much heel slippage--I could tell even with break-in that it wasn't going to improve. Learned that the hard way on some Alden full straps.
