It's no longer on the website, but still stocked at some B&M stores (Beverly Hills, for example). Don't ask me why; their SAs certainly didn't have a clue.

Aside from the 65% fiasco, I think most people have paid at around $500 historically. I don't mind paying that much when my size in 8.5D actualy comes up during a sale.

Speaking of MSRP, is Alden the only shoemaker that can command full retail at will? (Leffot preorders were sold out within 15 minutes of launched on a non-exotic color).

I think it has to do more with special make ups and such and how they control the distribution the same way Rolex can command an almost retail/full retail price.

It seems to me that if a guy is willing to spend 700+ on a pair of shell Aldens, he should be willing to spend 700+ on a pair of shell C&J's.

If they are priced the same, definitely C&J over Alden for me.

True. But there's no need to pay $700+ on either brands if one can pay less for it. For this case, it's hard to find Alden shells for anything below retail while CJ shells are on sale much more frequently. CJ may be better than Aldens in terms of quality but there's no need to pay retail unless the market dictates that.

Just like AEs (one of my favorite brands), I would pay the retail cost but there's no need when they're worth $220 - $250 in the marketplace.

Those Marlows are freaking awesome though. A stunning pair of shells for sure!

Free? You mean you don't get paid to wear the shoes?

Funny, I was somehow under the impression that PTB and wingtip were on different lasts. I have the PTB in 10D and it fits me fine, comfortable not too snug. And I have the Lindrick in 9.5D which fits about the same, not too snug although the vamp of the left boot is a little tight when I first put them on. The fit is not that different between the two.

I guess I always assumed that the wingtip boot and shoe were on the same last, but the PTB was on a different last. I've been looking to get a pair of the wingtips in 9.5D, so should I be looking for a 10D?

I don't have a pair of lindricks, but I wear the same size in the PTB and wingtip. They fit me the same. I sized down 1/2 for the loafers.

Guys where to find Lindricks without paying full retail? I'm trying to scoop up a pair in size 11. The Marlows just aren't enough for me.

If I can't find find them, I may resort to picking up a pair of Trickers Stow's since those come in at $500 any time of the week.

Interesting - any recommendations on where to get Tricker's in shell cordovan, or are they typically MTO?
