There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

BeSpif .. thanks for the Marcoliani Loafer Sock recommendation! Perfect and they don't roll up on me:) BTW your Marlow Wingtips look great with the colored laces ... It's good to step outside the box once in a while... develops character!

Thank you very much sir. I love my Marlow wingtips. IMO, character isn't developed with colored laces, you do it by walking with a purpose no matter what shoes your wearing.

How is C&J shell vs alden shell, I've heard alden add extra dye to their color 8 to make it have extra rich luster. Is the C&J shell comparable to alden?

Seeing as they both use Horween shell, I don't see how there could be much of a difference besides exclusive colors, etc (Alden might have an exclusive on #8).

Who else makes shell? Are there Spanish companies? Horween seems to dominate the market

Is Venetian cream only for shell, or for calf also? And is using Venetian and Reno redundant?

It's for both, and yes it's redundant. You need one or the other product, but not both.

Gentlemen, I'm not sure if I've asked this question before but is it possible to have B Nelson put flush mount toe taps on my Marlow wingtips and ptb's even though I've worn them about a half dozen times each? Thanks.

According to a conversation I had with Nick V. at B. Nelson, I don't think there should be any problem whatsoever. As long as the sole does not have too much wear and tear, you should be fine.

You can always send Nick a picture, just to be sure.

Johnniegold, thanks for the info. I'll follow up with Nick from B Nelson as per your recommendation just to be sure.

Really dislike the monk strap, it looks like a velcro strap or something. Just my opinion.

    Are these color 8?
