Noticed today that the RL "Giving in Style" sale is from April 4 - 10 and will be 25% off. Will the Marlows be included in this and will there be any further discount?

I went in yesterday to ask about this. They will be included in this sale and no further discount was discussed. I was also told about a private sale in about 2 weeks that will be the 40% sale discussed here. Cordovan WILL NOT be included in this one (so they say)

Cordovan usually isn't included in the other ones. Two times a year Give in Style and the Pink Pony event are basically when they are.

They are usually included also in online Private sale, and even public sale, but probably this could change every year.

The lowest price ever I remember was during 2011 november public sale, they were around 300$, sold out in few hours.

is the 15% kicker later in the year with the 40% only? Or it might be part of the sale in 2 weeks?

Just ordered a pair of Marlow Wingtips.

I figured I would make sure to get them on sale now, instead of hoping and wishing they might be available for a lesser cost later.

    Technically that's correct.

However I contacted SF User:dastig (Robert) a SA with RL and he placed a pair in my size off to the side. He'll ring them up tomorrow on sale and ship them out to me.

Does anyone have any pics of really old Marlows / Darltons? I'm interested in seeing how they age in terms of color.

I just took delivery of a pair of Lindricks. I have to say how impressed I am with the construction of the boot. The inner lining and the cordovan is butter soft. I like the subtle variation in the cordovan pieces. I have a pair of the Alden for JCrew cap toe cordovan boots and although I love them, these are just much much more elegant. Definitely fit 1/2 size larger than marked

^ katch, Some pics of your new boots would be nice. I've been giving the Lindricks a look of late. I also have the J Crew cap toe boot, and I'm searching for something dressier.

Do the Lindrick boots fit a 1/2 size larger than the Marlow wingtips?

If they are half size larger than marked they are on par with the wingtips from what I understand.

I don't own the Marlows, but I have tried them on and the boots seem to fit larger. I think I am going to put an insole in. They are that big, however II don't think I would go 1 full size down. I have a narrow foot and I'm in between a 9.5/10 normally.

I will take a pic of the boots on their maiden voyage (sometime next week?)

Lets hope the Marlows are included in the 40%-er

FWIW, my Marlows fit true to size.

IE., I had to size up from my Alden Barrie size and they still seem a bit narrower.
