Hi,

i'm thinking of getting the C & J - Bedford, Fitting G, UK Size 8, as i cant get these shoes where i live, i'll need to get them online therefor trying them on will not be possible. Never had a C & J before but other shoes i find comfortable are:

Loake Wideboy: last 1316B, UK size 8
RM williams Henley: last B538Y, UK size 8, G fitting
Birkenstock - Kensington size 42

Appreciate any thoughts and recommendation, Thanks.

The G is a wide fitting. Is there a reason you think you need a wide?

Because, if not, I'd suggest you look at the Connaught instead.

you should check the rm williams dedicated thread. g in rm williams seems to be the smallest width and equals to an e width with english shoe makers.

+1 on the above suggestion of the connaught.

That's what I was afraid of. An RMW G is much narrower than a C&J (or any english) G.

Gentlemen, Thanks for the responses.

i also hv the Barker Peter Lee, F fitting UK 8.5
It doesn't feel good, the only shoe that works for me now is the Birkenstock Kensington.

i measured the widest part of my foot and its about 10cm across, is the F fitting too small or is it the right one?
