Critique this shirt/tie combo

I'm a newbie here and I'd really appreciate if you guys could critique this shirt/tie combination that I was planning on wearing to a wedding. I was thinking of pairing this with a light gray suit. I know the color didn't come out so great but the stripes on the windowpane pattern of the shirt is lavender, as is the tie. Looks fine to me; I could say that maybe a knit tie could be too casual for a wedding, but it really depends what everyone else is wearing.

Combo is fine, playing it really safe with those colors and that is quite alright for attending a wedding as drawing any attention away from the Bride is a big no-no.
