Critique this double breasted suit fit

Purchased this Corneliani back in November. Finally got it altered today.

First a small picture to assess proportion. Jacket looks long but I'm mostly torso; short limbs.. what can you do.

Larger version on the left. Taking a self portrait off a mirror didn't turn out so great (I don't think I could post side or back pictures of any quality). Picture on the right was taken when I first received it and shows the details better.

So, opinions please.

Check. I didn't know that about DB's when that picture was taken.

I like this alterations person. I have seen higher peaks, up to the shoulder level.

That's a great suit.

I purchased a DB 6x1 glen plaid Corneliani with heavily roped shoulders back in the late '90s and hadn't worn it in years. However, my tailor greatly reduced the padding, created a new hand-sewn button hole so I could wear it as a 6x2 and moved narrowed the front buttons' stance away from a "keystone" look. Now I have a new, contemporary DB Corneliani, looking similar to the OP's suit.

other than being too low, something about the collar/lapels look off to me. the length of the jacket is also a tad long for my tastes, but that may be a stylistic choice on your part. great fabric though and nice waist suppression!

The waist suppression looks good.

Also agree the jacket is a little bit longer than what I prefer.

Can't see the break on the pants very well in the photo.

This suit makes you look like you're 57 years old IMO

BTW, you could have it shortened a touch.

At your age, I'd go for a tighter fit. But this certainly isn't sloppy...
