Hi everyone, First post here. I've just started really trying to dress well in the last year, so I'm kind of starting from scratch. Also, I'm 17 so I am on a reasonable budget. I tried to include most of the stuff I wear on a regular basis, but there is more. Please comment and give me some general advice.

Sorry the pictures aren't very good.

more pics in the next post.

You got style. Very dandyish, with an eye toward the slightly unusual. Do you shop in a lot of thrift stores?

I like it.

everything is great. i like all the stripes, bright colors and patterns. nice brittish feel . . . but

put your collar down. no, i'm not one of those people that hates it, i actually think it can look classy on some people. however, i think its working against you here.

its apparent that you have a good amount of discretionary spending money, so take some of it and go to a stylist who can give you a cut that makes you look as sophisticated as your clothes. your straight acrosss bangs make you look like a little kid. grow em out a little longer so you can side sweep them or slick them back with a classic, sharp looking side part.

Thanks. Regarding the bangs, they usually are. Thats just a bad picture.

I would never dress like you.

That being said, if it works for you, that's all that matters.

Awfully mod look for small-town Ohio: you figured out where you're escaping after high school yet?

(Are you getting all this in Massillon?!) Your shoes seem like the weakest area to me. Too many sneakers given the rest of your look and those that you have aren't zany enough for your style. A pair of chelseas or even wingtip boots would be the next purchase I recommend. Your tie collection screams "thrift store" louder than anything else you own. Not that there's anything at all wrong with that, if that's the image you want to portray.

Yeah, as Jared said, you need some new shoes—overall very weak right now, imo. Other than that I like it, not something that I would wear, but you seem to be pulling it off quite well.

I agree with the new shoes angle. I really don't like those black feltish pumas. They just rub me the wrong way. I'm a big fan of the hugo boss shirt from the first pick. It works well with the tie. There is no way i'd ever be able to wear your clothes, but they work for you. I think i'd get laughed at wearing the green/purple velvet stuff. It's funny that it looks so good on you.

I wish. The best stores around here are dillards and the gap. I shop whenever I go to the city.(cleveland, columbus, pittsbugh)

Yeah, those are all thrifted ties. They are the only ties I can find that I like that aren't really expensive designer ties. There are actually a couple ysl's and a robert talbott in there.

I will work on that. I'm going to toronto next week, and I'll see what I can find.
