quick question , what did Varham think about the final product when you tired it on? Did he think the jacket was a bit tight around the hip and vent was being pulled open, or he thought it looked good as is?

He thought it looked fine as is. I didn't notice the rear flaring until I got home and took a side profile shot (it looked perfect in the 3-piece mirror in the office). I did not however try on the pants one last time after he took the cuff measurements; he must've been off a bit during the previous fitting. He did tell me that if everything isn't just right after wearing it a couple of times to bring it back in.

I can't add anything that hasn't been said about the suit, but I think your shirt is too big. The collar and shoulders may fit but the arms are too long, cuffs too loose and the body could lose a few inches around the middle.

I agree about the cuffs of the shirt. I have a lot of shirts that do that, and it drives me crazy. It also confuses some people and makes them think your suit's sleeves are too long.

I have a feeling that a few further alterations will work out the kinks better than some say. And while I can see how a ventless might help, I also wonder if your butt will just tug the whole jacket back, making it seem too snug in front.

Thanks for posting the picks, Khaller. For all the threads about Mr. Ned's, I haven't come up with many that actually featured pics!

BTW, out of curiosity, does he feature light-colored cottons and linens for summer suits?

He had a few the last time I was there, and he can order a lot of stuff, but that will cost you. I bought the material for my Ned jacket at Tip Top. Much better than what Varham had for the basics, plus I had the time to go to Greenpoint.
