My post about searching for a suit is here: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=194019

What I bought:
-Baroni Daniele Super 150s, Wool, 40R/32, Two Button, Grey Melange, from The Wizard of Aahs.
-Silver stretch fitted cotton shirt from Express.
-Original Penguin tie from Nordstrom rack.
-Pearl by Brooks Brothers dark brown shoes from here (styleforum).

Here are some pics, http://picasaweb.google.com/aknapp/2...eat=directlink. The lighting was bad so the details aren't there. Also, I realize I need a different style belt. The one I have no longer fits, so it's getting replaced soon.

Here, I'm feeling helpful today. If you don't put pictures in the thread, many people will not bother to look.

You should post more pictures of the jacket. Also, the angle from which the photo was taken is weird and makes it hard to tell if the suit fits you well or not.

I think the jacket doesn't look too bad, but the pants need to be shortened and slimmed down.

Also, if you don't mind, I'd recommend a more spread collar on your shirts. It would flatter your face and look better with a jacket on.

Get a light colored shirt. Light blue, white, cream, pink. Dark shirts make you look like the guy who buys the shirt and tie in one package. Also, it's hard to tell from the angle, but the sleeves look too long on the shirt, especially your right arm. It helps to see the shoulders of the shirt too.

Your shirt sleeves are too long (And grey is a tough color to pull off unless you're a waiter at Macaroni Grill), and the sleeves on the suit are too loose for my tastes. Pants should have a 2" break at most.
I'd like to see more of the jacket, with better lighting.

The shirt and the jacket both need to be tightened up and I would implement a slimmer tie. As posted above I am definitely for a lighter shirt, not a fan of dark colored dress shirts.

Shirt is too puffy (ie large), sleeves are too long, pants may be too long but I can't tell because of the angle of the picture

I actually think the shirt and tie go well together, at least as they appear on my monitor.

But the fit is off on the shirt, looks like you could size down. I agree that the angles of the pictures don't allow for the much desired nit picky criticism you get on here.

Express shirts are the devil. Although, if they fit nice, which is not the case, they can be used for casual wear. And you need an M, not an L.

Shirt:
+1 to pretty much the above. Ditch the grey-colored shirt and find something that fits a little better (shorter in the arms in particular). You know it's too long when you see all of that "accordion" bunching along the arms.

Shoes:
Nice choice in shoes. Seriously.

Pants:
It could be the angle, but those pant legs (especially your left) look extremely roomy. See if they can't be taken in some. Pants that fit closer to your figure will present a better overall appearance.

Jacket:
I'd add an appropriate pocket square to give that suit some character. It's otherwise pretty average.

Tie:
I can't agree with one of the above posters. I think the width of that tie is about spot on; I wouldn't go even 0.25" slimmer.

Shirt sleeves and jacket sleeves too long. On second thought, at the next bonfire you go to, throw the shirt in the fire. Then never buy a sheeny grey shirt ever again, and let's pretend this never happened.

Do a white shirt and solid navy tie.

Nip the waist on the coat.

Trousers are a little long.

Otherwise, a much better 1st suit than probably most of us here.

You look like German soccer player Lucas Podolski.
