Critique my cheap suit

I know this cell phone pic is rather inconclusive, but you should at least get an idea of how this Express suit fits. I purchased the pants and vest separately, then the suit went on sale last week and I threw down 144 big ones on it. Little did I know they were composed largely of Polyester (69%), the rest primarily Viscose (29%) - Notwithstanding the foregoing, I like this suit quite a bit. To think I was on the verge of spending a small fortune on a marked down Armani just yesterday. This is my first suit, but I'm still looking for a dark, high-quality suit with a European cut - I suppose a custom or designer suit (the latter being on sale). At least I have something to tide me over in the interim. I realize the tailor has some work to do with this suit, most noticeably shortening the sleeves. Would you recommend going to a tailor with such a cheap suit?

My first thought was that the jacket is too large, but it looks to fit well in the shoulders. Are you quite tall? The jacket seems long. I would say that if it fits well in the shoulders and you like it then take it to a tailor to have the sleeves shortened and the body tapered.

You'll pretty much have to.

Unfortunately the pic is near useless. You can tell the sleeves are too long but that's about it.

Not sure why you can't see at least one thread here without an asshole, but I would have to agree it fits you quite loose. Maybe that's the way you like it, but either way more and higher quality pictures would help

don't bother with tailoring. It'll cost you more in tailoring fee than what you paid for the suit.

Return it. It's too large and too long for you. Unless you are going for the NBA baller look, then it's perfect (but may I recommend some Stacey Adams shoes to go with that)

It is hard to tell exactly from that pic but I would say the sleeves are diffenatley too long. the torso is too tight you can see the lapels start to flare out. I like the vest though not to many people wear them these days.
