Hello all, this is my first suit, and I think that the tailor should have taken in the waist more. Please let me know what other fit problems you see and if you concur on the waist thing. The photos have already been posted on the WAYWRN thread in this post here:

Thanks!

You kinda look like young Nick Cave and that's a plus.

That suit looks perfect. Don't change a thing. If you have the jacket taken in at the sides, you'll look like Deputy Barney Fife in a cheap Italian suit that shrank at the cleaners.

Sorry it's not bright enough. Solid navy is hard to get a decent exposure on.

I'd take in the waist a little more (probably from the side seams at the back, but I wouldn't know), but that depends on how much room you have left and are comfortable with. As I said, I personally would take it in a little more, but others may not wish to.

Shoulder divots, anyone?

That said, no one outside of this forum will notice them. If you have money to blow, I'd get the shoulder padding reduced a bit - they appear to extend a bit further than your natural shoulders.

Of course it isn't perfect. None of my suits fit perfectly either. You look better than 99% of other suit wearers and any attempt to reach that 100% carries with it the possibility of blowing it all together.

Looks fine. Fitzgerald is not a suit that was designed to be narrowed at at the waist. If that is the style you like, get the Regent.

This is strange - I have a Fitzerald that was quite nipped in the waist off the rack.

Looks great, I would not do a tie clip or pocket square for an interview.

Looks good. The little Shoulder divots thing in the padding will even out as it hangs if its anything like my fitz suit.

Looks fine. Pocket square might be a bit much for an interview, though.
