nah, i wear my stuff fitted a bit, but nothing crazy. the medium was just HUGE. i could have layered a ton of shit under it, which i guess is the intention, but there's no need for that here in nyc.

basically, i equated a small in this parka to a large in any of my engineered garments parkas.

Forget what I said, I thought you were referring to the Down Parkas, didn't know it was the 6040. Thats why I thought the price of the $300 was pretty decent for a Down.

so i just went and checked out the CDW parka's at dave's quality meats and my first impression was that these things run HUGE. i asked to see a large, as that's what i wear in EG, WWM, J. Crew, etc. and the dude told me that i would need a medium. the medium was too big, but the small fit fine. i am 6'3" 195-200 lbs, btw.

I got to try one of these on today and found the same thing to be true. I'm 6'4" and would buy a small if I were to get one. I wouldn't even call the small especially fitted. It still had a good bit of the loose parka feeling, and I would have had no problem layering underneath.

Has anyone actually purchased the CDW bomber jacket? I was thinking of placing a direct order and was hoping for a little sizing help.

The bomber can be seen here also:

There's some info on the page, but I was hoping to see if anyone actually owns one.

    Thanks much

That bomber is great. It looks like something Raf would do.

...I think I'll probably take a Large though and wanted to see if anyone had ordered one or actually felt the jacket in person.

    I assume those measurements are:

    length, pit to pit, sleeves...

Does anyone that speaks a little Japanese know that this is correct?

The header for the measurement is a picture so it can't be pasted into google translator.

Yep raf loves taking cues from classics. Funny you mention this as I've been wanting to customize my own raf version of the cdw bomber for over a year now. Will do so soon perhaps.

Wow that is a nice jacket. Anybody know where to get it from besides Japan and how much they go for?

The new 60/40 down vests at South Willard are freaking sweet! Much better then the previous vests. Wish SW would get a restock on the olive one.

handled these this weekend and i have to say adam is right, they are nicer than last season's offerings

the blue wool is better than photos suggest since you can't make out any detail and appears washed out

Has anyone tried the new Italian vests from CDW in size large? I'm just curious how much bigger they run. The difference between the medium and large in the down shirt is marginal.
