ok, I'm thinking about having my favorite tailor create a sportcoat for me. I've been using the great tailors at Custom Clothing of Atlanta for well made functional sleeve buttonholes, shirt sleeve alterations, and even had them add an entire set of buttons to a jacket purchased at a great discount because the sleeve buttons were missing.

So, here is my plan-- replicate (with a modification or two, such as double vents) the sportcoat sean connery wore in Goldfinger. The tailorshop contacted me about my request, and asked for photos of the jacket.
So, i need some help finding photos online of connery wearing the sportcoat he wore while picking up auric goldfinger's check (made out to cash, of course) and then following goldfinger thru europe.

can you guys help me out?

wow, you guys are great! thank you for the sensational photographs. I'm sure these will be useful in creating the sportcoat i have in mind. I will probably make the following modifications:

+ perhaps slightly less cant on the hacking pockets; don't want this to seem TOO extreme/ noticable
+ double vents
+ lapels, while narrower, may not come out as narrow as 1960s Bond. should be close, though!

I think i will probably pick out a pair of flat front twill trousers-- not sure whether oxxford will be able to find the ones i liked so much, in the radcliff pant cut. maybe a pair of twills or moleskins from ben silver?

I saw a jacket in Jos. A. Banks a couple weeks ago that looked just like this but with wider lapels. You might want to check there.

Only for budget reasons does one wear JAB. Their materials, construction and design are quite poor; glorified menswearhouse.

I agree. This is very exciting. It will be fun to create.

I have a two of their suits and find the construction and materials to be quite nice. They offer styles that look nearly identical to a couple of the suits that I have seen you wearing in your photos.
