Anyone know a place to where I could get totally crazy pants? RTW, or find cloth and have them made @ reasonable price?

I actually could not find any wild patterns at my shirtmaker, which was surprising and dissapointing.

Is there a place you can buy fabrics that would be used in women's fashion dresses, really gaudy/shiny stuff?

What kind of patterns/fabric are you looking for? Or are you just looking for anything that is crazy? Lilly Pulitzer Men made some insane stuff you could likely hunt down on the Bay. Or, depending on your flare, you could do multiple paneled beer and pretzel embroidered corduroys.

Are you after a preppy/GTH vibe or something more effeminate/70s?

That is a great idea! I really like it. reminds me of the wild 60's era FY golf pants worn at certain Eastern country clubs.

I'm thinking of like crazy floral or paisley stuff in the shirts domain, or shiny gold patterns or anything at that level in the pants domain.

You can prob find outrageous fashion stuff that takes itself seriously for lots of $$$, maybe at versace etc, but that's not what I'm shooting for. More fun/crazy/elvis/over the top.

What you seek is whatever was unsold stock at Fiorucci, whenever they went out of business (whichever decade that was) - lurid, over the top, and cheap enough so as not to be tragic, should the attire not last the night.

Anyone know if any NYC MTM shirtmakers carry any large-scale patterns/designs, vs. just small scale checks and stripes etc?
