Hi,

I've done numerous internet searches on whether cracked leather uppers - on the inner and outer creases where the toes flex on both left and right shoes - can be repaired. The consensus is that shoes which are cracked cannot be fixed.

I know there are numerous members here who would have experience with cracked leather. Can anyone suggest a fix for my predicament?

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed with JM Weston. It's a black leather and both shoes bear identical cracking in the same places.

Thanks for any inputs.

Hi, I've seen that on askandy. He OP mentioned he sent it back to churches and they resoled his shoes and did up the upper leather. So basically it will need a repatching by the original manufacturer? Hoping this will not set me back much. This has been a problem first pair of JM Weston's for me.

Once leather cracked it can't be reversed. There are ways to patch the cracked area, including the leather patch treatment or filling the crack in withleather repair paste.

Check with your local cobblers to see what they could do. Or ask @nick v
