Those look great. Bet they'd look even better if you hit those with an Alden boot cream or something similar to really bring out the patina.

Thanks guys. I got them lightly used on eBay, 18, 19 yrs ago. They've developed most of their character from motorcycle rides. I had a pair of black Frye Campus boots that I bought new right before those, and I alternated the two for motorcycle commutes for years. But I got rid of those and some Sidi On Roads shortly after moving back out west in 2008. So these have been my main boot for rainy days.

I might try some cream. I think I used neutral or tan Meltonian cream for the first ten years or so, and Bick4 for the past nine since learning about it from DWFII. A shoemaker gave me a can of Huberd's Shoe Grease to make them more water resistant, and I tried it once, but didn't like it at all. It made them sticky and darkened them a lot. Actually, I think I tried Venetian shoe cream on them once and that made them pretty smooth and shiny.

Allen Edmonds Conditioner/Cleaner will not darken leather and does not become sticky.

Hey, guys. I hang out over on the vintage shoe forum but I hope that someone here can help. I need to be able to put an age on these Tony Lama boots.

I grabbed them at Goodwill last week, thinking 1) that they were shark and 2) that they would fit. Well, they're not shark; they're elephant. And they don't fit. Plus, once my beautiful wife learned that these were made out of Dumbo's mother, she nearly lost her **** and wants them out of the house. So I'm gonna put 'em on eBay.

Any assistance you could give that will help me sell these would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You might get a quicker response if you email TL directly, just a thought.

Shoot the message to Tony Lama; they should be able to tell you the year based on the information provided from the numbers inside of the boot.

Hello all and I hope everyone is well. It has been a delightful journey. Good times!

In addition to sharing some of the the guayaberas, I thought it would be fun to share one of the pairs of boots I picked up. Another pair of Cuadra ostrich in the color they call "flame brown."

Wore them last night for the first time when we all went out to cut the rug. Very comfy!

Here are a somewhat recent pair of Legendary boots out of El Paso. Almond 1/2 quill ostrich that I darkened up a touch.
