I am selling several pairs of Lucchese Classic ropers in US size 12D. They have a a 12 inch shaft and a roper toe and roper heel. Leather is baby buffalo. I have listed them in burnished tan and dark brown, but I also have pairs available in black and black cherry.

For those that celebrate it, hope you had a great Independence Day. For those that don’t, hope you had a great Monday.

Fairly sure Meyer may be the only custom bootmaker out there that also hosts their own gator harvest trips to boot..

How many pairs of boots you have altogether?

Yeah, they have like 25,000 acres to hunt. They can have it. 20 or so pairs. Do you know what size you wear in a vintage TL's, say from the 80's?

No clue, have never worn TLs believe it or not. Have/had Nocona, Lucchese, Rios, Black Jack, and Heritage, but never TLs. Go figure.

Just curious. Have a pair of El Rey's I'm thinking about moving. I've worn all that you mention but Heritage. Heard nothing but good things about them.

Heritage are (obvious from last 20 pages or so) easily my favorite maker, hands down. Not only are the boots exceedingly well made, but the designs are usually just spot on to me in terms of what I look for in a western boot. Have seven pairs and counting, but they almost always release at least one or two new makeups each year that tempt the hell out of me. Still have a few pairs of Lucchese I keep at our cabin for workboots, but besides a pair of Black Jack, a couple pairs of Rios, they are all I wear these days

@Bamaboots Thoroughly enjoying the pics of your collection -- especially those '60s TLs, which are fantastic. Please keep 'em coming.

For most of my life, I've favored conservative (classic?) styles. I own six pairs of boots. Three are ropers, two are suede, and three I've owned for over 20 years. Never have had the stomach for exotics. But I can see my next pair having a more out-there design. Definitely need to get down the road to Heritage in Austin and will check out Back At the Ranch when I'm in Santa Fe next month.

I love vintage boots and combing through shops and thrift markets that carry them. I've not had any luck finding any to buy that I both love and actually fit -- it's like trying to find Cinderella's slipper with the countless ways vintage boots can fit. But I love holding and touching those heritage designs, there's just something special about them.

Wife picked these up for herself last time we were in Austin. Damned if I wouldn’t wear these myself if I was a woman’s size 6

I’d wear the hell out of those. I’ll post a few of Hers as I go along, some of which I’d wear as well.

Here’s another pair of TL’s from the El Rey (the king) line of the early 80’s, their top dog at the time and they ran the series in different leathers. These are Italian calf and goat tops. This line is distinct for the leathers used and some details like three rows of pegs vs the usual two. If you look closely you can see minor blips in some top stitching, indicative of single row stitching machine work. I remember reading or hearing that only TL’s master boot makers worked on this line but I don’t know that to be fact. They even came with boot socks.
