Hello! Any consensus on where to go for custom boots? I am somewhat particular on shape, but my goal is mostly fit.

Is there a "high value" option? My wife got a pretty nice custom pair of Blackjack boots for ~$400-500 a few years back, but the gent that measured her is on the other side of the country.

What's the best path for someone in the midwest? I'm near Chicago.

Thank you!

yep, hard to find a better basic, go-to western boot (design wise) than this one.. this one is rawhide, but they also make them in some really nice oil-tanned leathers

I do wish that Heritage had a round toe last. I know they'd knock it out of the parl.

Question: what do you guys think about wearing cowboy boots with cuffed trousers? In my case, a pair of cavalry twill trousers with pleats. Would they look odd? Everywhere I've looked has no example of this though I could just be looking in the wrong places. Any non-denim trousers I see tend to be flat front with no cuffs.

I did find this article about it but am interested in others' opinions.

I also wish heritage would try a round toe

I don't think it's there jam though . They are pretty dedicated to their current French and snip toes .

bit there has to be a retro historic round toe they Could tackle .

Really love their boots but some
Times just want a plain r toe air something simple ....

They do have a toe they call the French toe that is a little more rounded-off, but maybe not enough to your liking. Here is an example

I don't tend to wear western boots with office pents, but see many who do (then again, I live in Texas) and it doesn't look out of place to me

Oh, I know. I've got one of their French toe boots and its awesome. Contemplating getting their Camel Ranch Hand boot at some point.
