Your climate is very mild/temperate. I agree with @dieworkwear that 14 oz tweed would be fine at 60F/15C.

Spier and Mackay's fall/winter clothing will start appearing in August. I think they will be offering a limited run of MTO Dugdale covert twill trousers as well.

I find I can wear 18oz tweed up until late spring, but at some point, I don't because it looks incongruent with the season and how I want to dress.

I think some people run warmer than others. I generally don't have a problem with wearing very heavy fabrics. But 14oz tweed seems very manageable to me in 60-degree temps. Perhaps others feel differently.

I agree with this. My comment about the 18oz tweed being too warm was more related to wearing it inside in my office, not wearing it outside. I'm 100% in agreement that 14oz in 60 degree temps is totally fine for me, and I do run hot.
