As with pretty much every form of entertainment, good TV focuses on the how instead of the what.
Breaking Bad has little besides the plot. The episodes have no inherent interesting attributes. There are a few hooks that drag the audience along to see what happens next and -- as I said before -- there's nothing to see along the way.
I'm not really a TV snob (or at least what I imagine you mean by that) -- my favorite TV series is probably Law and Order and I hate most HBO series (and I don't really like any of them). I just don't see the point in watching a show just to see what happens next when I know full well one day the last episode will be reached and I'll ultimately have wasted my time because there was no real content.
At this point, I'm not confident you have really watched the show.
