But that's what I'm saying: he's developed a loyalty, maybe even a friendship, towards Jesse. It's one of the positive traits Walt has that makes him such a complex and endearing character: there's all this good mixed in with all this bad.

Yes. Also - he felt bad for letting his girlfriend die, even though she was really bad for Jesse. He knows it really hurt Jesse to lose her, but at least it cleaned him up.

    Love the Kenny Rodgers shirts.

Cranston talked about this scene once before. That was the first take.

If anyone is interested, the song at the end of Sunday's episode is: Alexander Ebert, "Truth"

Man, Walter is showing his desperation. He's acting extremely rashly, in both going to Gus's house and in approaching Mike the way he did. Pretty stupid on both counts, and things I would never expect Walt to do.

    +1

I mean, purchasing the gun I kind of understand (I honestly don't remember if Jesse still packs one or not....). Hopefully, getting beat up will knock some sense into him. Oh, and of course, Saul is awesome.

    Ya, he is melting down.

What he should do is put together a bunch of evidence and let everyone know it will be released if he or anyone in his family is harmed.

But they are both melting down. Jesse's meltdown is hilarious. He said his new stereo had a "digital tube amp"

This season has been as good as ever. But I still can't stand Skyler.

Good idea about the evidence packet. And yes, I laughed at the "digital tube amp" too.

She really is a bitch, isn't she?

I'm really wondering where the story line with Hank is going. So far it doesn't seem to be going anywhere, except for the fact that his cop friend gave him a copy of the lab notes. Naturally, that could turn things around for him, but since his shooting he's basically just been a sullen prick, especially to his wife, and it hasn't really changed much.

Both Walt and Jesse are obviously deteriorating. A lot of people have been speculating that Walt may be gunning for Gus's position, but I don't see that happening any time soon.
