intellectually, i think you are right, and tony soprano is actually imo a far worse human being. and yet, he is infinitely more likable. i think they intentionally made walt the kind of bad guy that you are not sure if you want to root for or not.

um, thats kind what it means to become evil. he was not forced to do what he did. he chose to do it. in almost every situation where he did something evil, he could have dome something else, at some sacrifice. and the cases where he really had no choice, his previous choices put him there, and had he made less evil/selfish/whatever decisions earlier on, hed never be in the position he ended up in.

Hey lefty, what sort of awards can BB get for its cinematography? There doesn't seem to be an Emmy in that category. The shots in BB always seem brilliant to me but I'm sure you could tell me why they are not.

I hear this all the time but don't really get it. Yeah, the character can be annoying at times. And she nags at times. But I think nagging is somewhat appropriate when her husband disappears for days at a time, misses the birth of their child, etc.

Is she supposed to be supportive of his meth-making and drug-dealing? Should she be buying him weapons to off his enemies?

Interestingly, most of people I know that have the strongest resentment toward her are women.

this. no wife in the universe would not be at the very least a huge bitch if she found out her husband up and became a murdering drug pin over night, all the while putting the safety of the entire family at great risk.

not to mention, he had the easiest out all time when his old billionaire buddy offered to take care of everything.

most women would have called the DEA, taken the kids, moved, and divorced without question.

    1. Tony Soprano is fat. Fat people are cuddly, thus instantly likable.

    2. Tony's sympathetic because there's a part of everyone that wants to be a mob boss who bangs hookers so it's easy to look the other way. Nobody wants to be a schlumpy chem teacher with cancer and a childish temper and one of the only reasons to side with him is because is his wife is an insufferable cunt with a Rocky Dennis head. That, and his son wants to be called "Flynn" which may as well be "bitchface" in a father's eyes.

You guys talking about Skyler this and that after he became Heisenberg have so missed the boat. From the pilot episode it is obvious Skyler has been a cunt to Walt for years, hen pecked him, broken his spirit, demeans him, does not appreciate the poor fuck is working two jobs (each with differing levels of being demeaned), etc. She is introduced to us as a horrible person and only grows more horrible.

Walt starts out as someone you root for. It was carefully nurtured at the beginning, his descent to evil was slow and each step driven by circumstances, so the viewer has a pathway to cut Walt some slack. It is only in this season and part of the last that the writers really stopped tossing the viewer life lines as to why to keep rooting for Walt. He has now "broken bad."

In a sense, Walt was generally more likeable when he was the underdog. And for the majority of the series, he was (S1-S4). You could see yourself rooting for the guy who used his intellect and cleverness to outwit even the most powerful of adversaries -- all for the sake of his family's survival.

Come Season 5. No more Krazy 8. No more Tuco. DEA is pretty much out of the picture. And most importantly, Gus is no longer around to kill his family. All of these threats are gone and what's the first thing he does? Does he get out while he still can? Nope! He puts on his evil hat and starts laying down the foundations for a new drug empire.

The Creative Arts Emmy Awards recognize the craft of TV. They have already come and gone and House of Cards won for single camera cinematography.

I quite like the cinematography and the direction of BB and know one of the directors pretty well.

She cooks breakfast for him (every morning, seemingly). She throws him a giant birthday party. She's sexually receptive (even after Walt being gone and not calling). She seems to take care of the family finances. She doesn't treat her handicapped kid like a baby.

Those are the things I inferred from the first few episodes. Seems like a good-enough catch.

Good Sir, please refrain from base and pornographic language. I enjoy a well turned ankle as much as the next chap, but this kind of vulgarity is unwarranted. Good day to you sir . . . I said GOOD DAY!:plain:

There are nood pics of Anna Gunn on the inter-webs. She has nice titties. She is attractive in a sort of Valkyrie way.
